Midcentury Modern Kitchen Remodel

We're thrilled to see our mahogany doors in this MidCentury Modern post-and-beam home restoration recently featured on Clever/Architectural Digest.  Los Angeles designer Natalie Myers of Veneer Designs did an amazing job on this Pacific Palisades home. We especially love how she opened up the space by connecting the kitchen, living and dining areas.
"Taking cues from nature as well as the home's pedigree, the result is an earthy and brave interpretation of midcentury design—'more Laurel Canyon than Pacific Palisades,' as Natalie puts it. High and low design intermingle: IKEA cabinets with customized doors; custom red oak, rift-cut wall paneling; tile from clé; epoxy floors; and ceramic light pendants commissioned from artist Heather Rosenman. 'We knew that the right choice of fresh materials and the right choice of colors and tile would be enough to make the house feel new again' David says.
"The glorious finished kitchen showcases semihandmade mahogany cabinet doors installed on IKEA cabinet frames. 'Jill made those [color] choices, all with muted, dusty hues,' David says of the vibrant color blocking they decided to add on select doors."
