"Since it wasn't going to be my primary residence, I didn't want to go all out on custom cabinetry, but wanted a nicer look than what Ikea could offer. I spent a summer previously working for Dwell magazine and recalled seeing Semihandmade at their Dwell on Design show - a perfect solution! I chose to forego uppers since the house wouldn't need tons of storage for short term rentals and opted for open shelving. I love the warmth the Impression fronts in the Tahoe finish give to the kitchen and they pair super well with the color palette I used in the rest of the house."
