Shipping & Delivery

We ship all products everywhere in the contiguous United States (with the exception of Caesarstone). For information on Caesarstone availability, click here. We do not currently ship to Canada.

See our lead times page for estimated production length. Allow for an extra 1-7 business days for shipping, depending on order volume and shipping location. Occasionally, it might take longer depending on the shipping company’s serviceability. Shipping cost varies depending on the size, weight, and destination of your order.

What To Expect

Parcel Shipping

Smaller Orders

We use parcel shipping for samples, hardware, floating shelves, bathroom, media, cabinet paint and smaller kitchen orders via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.

Depending on the size, weight and types of products in the order, it might ship in multiple boxes. For example, decorative hardware ships within a week whereas kitchen fronts need additional time for manufacturing and packaging. When any part of your order ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information and an estimated delivery. Note that a signature might be required for some deliveries.

Pallet Shipping

Larger Kitchen Orders

Any orders that contain oversized pieces will ship by freight LTL on a 4x8 pallet. Larger orders may be delivered on multiple pallets. All pallet orders will have different delivery options available in checkout and will require a weekday delivery appointment. The freight company will contact you after your order is in transit. Delivery appointments must be confirmed in a timely manner in order to avoid any additional storage fees, which if incurred are the responsibility of the customer.


Delivery Options:

Curbside Delivery (Standard): This option is our standard delivery option. The pallet of items will be delivered to your residence street/curb. We advise you to have help on hand to bring your goods to/inside your home, as this is an unassisted delivery service.

Threshold Delivery: This option has the delivery driver bring your pallet of items beyond the curb/street (ground level only), without breaking down or opening the pallet. Common examples would be the driveway or in a garage/patio. Please be advised that the threshold must be wide enough to fit the pallet, and have no stairs or steps.

White Glove Delivery: Same as above threshold service, but pallet is broken down/unpacked, and delivered into entry or ground level room (some areas may allow delivery to other levels, although not guaranteed). Includes removal of any debris and pallet.

Any additional fees charged by the shipping company as a result of re-delivery due to the customer not being present, an incorrect address, storage fees, etc. will be the sole responsibility of the customer. Delivering to islands or remote areas may result in additional shipping/ferry fees, which if incurred are the responsibility of the customer.

In the rare event of shipping damage, please take photos of the damage. Report the damage to the driver and note it on the delivery receipt. Then, within 72 hours, send those photos and an explanation of the circumstances to Semihandmade Customer Service at help@semihandmade.com. Ensure that you keep all packaging and damaged items, as the shipping company may claim these as part of their damage investigation.

Pallet Shipping Costs for Kitchen Orders

Shipping costs for pallet-delivered kitchen orders depend on your purchase amount according to the chart below. Please note that shipping costs are calculated from your purchase amount pre-discount (before coupon codes are applied).

*Some additional fees/charges may apply based on situations. Rural area locations and select New York City locations are subject to additional surcharges. These surcharges are additional fees to cover any situational circumstances in these difficult delivery areas.

Please contact Customer Service if your order requires a change of address. Your address needs to be confirmed prior to ordering. We will also need an alternate contact in case our delivery service cannot get a hold of you.

You will receive a shipment confirmation email once your order has shipped.

For larger orders, your order will deliver by freight truck on a large 8 foot pallet.  The freight company will call you to schedule a weekday delivery appointment (they usually require a 4-hour window). It's important to provide a valid phone number during the time of purchase so the delivery service can get a hold of you to schedule your delivery.

When your order arrives, it will be delivered curbside only on the main road. It is highly recommended to have help available with moving and unloading your order. 

Please note that you should never help the driver remove freight from the truck, unless you volunteer to do so, and can do so in a safe manner. If a driver asks you to help unload and you cannot safely assist – please refuse the shipment, and contact SHM immediately for us to work with our carrier in finding an appropriate delivery method

UPS & FedEx allow for customers to sign-up for an online account and change their delivery options including pick-up at UPS/FedEx Store and sign for packages remotely.

For pallet deliveries, it is very important to note any visible damage, take pictures, and report it to the driver.  This will help us in processing any damage claims.  After receiving your order, please inspect all of the pieces carefully and report any damage or incorrect pieces to help@semihandmade.com within three business days.
